Raw Power

Canon 5D Mark II/TS-E17mm f/4L, ISO 400, 8 exposures @ f/4

There’s been some talk about a Grand Central Terminal reunion tour coming up in the next few weeks, so I figured I’d post this. I had this shot on ice and it drove me nuts in color but I gave black and white a try and I’m really digging it.

This is one of the oversized power converters down in the sub-basement of Grand Central. I took this back in January and I’m excited to get back down there, I’ve learned so much and have evolved quite a bit since then, I’m ready.

Chris Nitz - I’m digging the b/w for this as it brought out a lot of little details throughout the scene. Fantastic stuff man!

Barbara Youngleson - Love this in B&W. You’ve captured the power of this machine, really giving us a sense of scale. Great contrast of cold smooth steel and gritty texture!

Jesse Pafundi - Great idea turning this into a black and white. The white balance down there was a nightmare. Love it.
