This is the last night we had in the Outer Banks, NC before we were evacuated for Hurricane Irene. I had only been there for a day and a half and I sat on the porch just after 8pm, snapped a few brackets and watched the last of the beautiful weather drift away to the Northeast. I packed shortly after and woke up at 3:30am to escape the island before the crowds. Next year, I’m definitely springing for the travel insurance.
